Leokwe Camp

 

Mapungubwe’s main camp is located in the eastern section of the Park, 11km from the Main Gate. Situated in spectacular sandstone hills, camp guests can enjoy the Treetop Hide and the Confluence View Site & Picnic Area close by

  • Museum Tour - for both day or over night visitors.

Limpopo Forest Tented Camp

 

Situated in the Limpopo Riverine forest, the Limpopo Forest Tented Camp offers excellent birding. The Camp is located in the western section of the Park, approximately 40km from the Main Gate.

All activities must be pre booked.

Tshugula Lodge

 

This luxury lodge can sleep 12 guests in the lodge with six bedrooms. The lodge is located approximately 23km from the Main Gate.

Vhembe Wilderness Camp

 

In the eastern section of Mapungubwe National Park, 13 km from the Main Gate, Vhembe Wilderness Camp has been built on a small ridge within a valley.

  • Walking distance of the Limpopo River
  • Walking distance of the Mapungubwe Hill
  • This camp is not recommended for families with children.
    no electrical plug points available.
  • The camp is not fenced.
  • The road to this camp requires a 4x4/ high clearance vehicle
  • No swimming pool available at this camp.

Mazhou Camping Site

 
  • The Mazhou Camping Site in is situated approximately 40km from the Main Gate.
  • Caters for ten caravans or tents
  • Each camping site is equipped with a power point.
  • A Pensioner Discount is available from Sunday to Thursday nights within the normal Pensioner Discount Periods.
